A downwards spiraling materialistic vortex

These last weeks I’ve been doing pretty much nothing else but looking for temporary appartments and trying to find a way to afford to build a new house. Been sitting up in the middle of the night designing floorplans, emailing for quotes, reading all kinds of technical guides about building shit…and so forth. It’s all so fucking frustrating and it feels like I’m everyday kicked back to status quo.

I sometimes feel like I’m stuck in a materialistic world spiraling downwards in a scary vortex and there is no escape, and no oxygen left to breath.
Fuck It’s like living in Truman Show!!

I need to get a tattoo to get this shit out of my system!! I actually think that this tattoo has been brewing for a few years now. I’m pretty sure which artist I want to make it as well!

Scott Versago turned an ugly piece of crap into a wonderful memorial portrait!

I know I have seen the photo of the extremely sad piece of crap memorial tattoo a dozens of times on Facebook. And I know every time it got shared and re-posted I thought…”damn that is one butt ugly woman”! I never gave it a second thought that the customer behind the shared photo was a man that had a very sad story to tell, and wanted to get a memorial tattoo of his wife. When I read this story by Scott Versago I really felt that I’m in this project for all the right reasons. I need to help informing people all about the importance of doing good research on the tattoo artist! Because it’s when I see examples like this “before” image ,it litteraly makes ny skin crawl!

This is what Scott Versago wrote after he had made the cover up:

“I got to tackle the official “#1 worst portrait tattoo in the world” today. I’m sure you’ve all seen it a million times online, as had I. I couldn’t believe my eyes when this guy walked in and showed me this project. I think my jaw literally hit the floor. He went on to tell me the story behind the portrait; He had just married his beautiful wife and not even three months afterwards she was killed in a horrible house fire accident leaving him to raise their three children alone. Shortly after he went to a local tattoo studio to memorialize his wife and was left with this abomination. He later returned to that studio for one more session, thinking that perhaps “he had done something wrong in the healing of the tattoo” and they butchered it even more the second time. Finally, he drove all the way to my studio, Empire Ink, just to meet me and to see what his options were. Touched by his story, I gifted the entire project to him for free. Now he has closure and I have an amazing story to add to my portfolio!”- Scott Versago

That is why you should book professional tattoo artists!!
